Alta Moda: so soft and cozy!

For those of you who are not familiar with Lana Grossa's Alta Moda line, it is comprised of three sumptuous yarns: Alta Moda Alpaca, Alta Moda Cashmere, and Alta Moda Seta. All of these yarns feature a unique woven texture that reduces weight and bulk while maintaining a thicker gauge that works up quickly. The result is a warm, chunky fabric with great drape that is not too bulky or cumbersome, as is sometimes the case with heavier weight yarns. The braided construction of the Alta Moda line also produces an evenly textured fabric and provides superb stitch definition. I have had the pleasure of knitting up a shawlette with two balls of the Alta Moda Alpaca that resulted in a sweet neck-warmer I've been wearing all winter.
