What future MKALs or MCALs would you like to see hosted by Jimmy Beans Wool?
We are trying to decide on some upcoming Mystery Knit and Crochet Alongs, and we need your help! We have some ideas, but we'd like to know if we are on the right track. We'd appreciate if you'd take the following poll to help us out! Thanks in advance!
How about one for Gilmore Girls?
ReplyDeleteWe've got this one in the works! ;)
DeleteWhat about an Olympics binge?
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteI think the Olympics is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the lace-weight challenge last summer. How about something that encourages trying a new technique or fiber?
Doctor Who, Star Trek, Supernatural, Lucifer, Grimm, iZombie would all be fun for TV Shows.
ReplyDeleteMovies that my daughter and I will watch over and over again include any of the Jurassic Park series, How to Train Your Dragon, or Alice in Wonderland / Through the Looking Glass.
Admittedly, we are also gamers. I would love beyond measure to see things from Elder Scrolls, Assassin's Creed, or World of Warcraft, while she would beg me for any of these or Pokemon.
I agree with Patricia! I would love any of these! Also being a gamer, I've toyed with the idea of designing a World of Warcraft anything, but can't decided what to make.

DeleteI like the suggestions, cannot decide which one is the best. I was also thinking about something for the upcoming remake of Rocky Picture Horror Show!
ReplyDeleteStar Trek, Supernatural, Orphan Black, Firefly, Japanese Manga, Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica
ReplyDeleteI'm all for Gilmore Girls and Olympics, too! I also like the idea of a kid's show or movie with a kid-friendly product at the end. Pride and Prejudice? Or any Jane Austen movies/series. Orphan Black is excellent. I'd also be interested in something that is seasonal or for a holiday. Brat Pack movies in a fall or back-to-school type thing might be fun. I will miss the Downton knit along this year!
ReplyDeleteHow about Call the Midwife? Just finished binge watching the first 4 seasons on Netflix. There are a lot of lovely period clothes!
ReplyDeleteOooh - something from that era would be GREAT.
DeleteMiss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
ReplyDeleteThis! This this this!
DeleteI would love to see an Orphan Black MKAL, so many clones with so many personalities it would fun
ReplyDeleteCall the Midwife and Gray's Anatomy
ReplyDeleteI second Lizzie's suggestion of Call the Midwife. The time period and subject matter provide a lot of options. Perhaps a baby blanket or sweater?
ReplyDeleteStar trek, outlander binge, NCIS, criminal minds, castle,

ReplyDeleteFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Agree^^
DeleteGrantchester, Star Trek would be great!
ReplyDeleteDr Who., Olympics, Actually, I am game for anything!
ReplyDeleteDr Who., Olympics, Actually, I am game for anything!
ReplyDeleteLuther (we could post lots of pictures of Idris Elba...)
ReplyDeleteThe Killing
For me the designer would be more important than the series. I watch very little screen (movie or TV) so I don't have a vested interest in a series. The ability to see previous designs would weigh in heavily for me. I love the mystery aspect and learning new things but I'd rather make something that I know someone will enjoy, even if it isn't me. Poorly written patterns tend to irritate the crap out of me.
ReplyDeleteAnything Marvel-related...particularly the Netflix shows like Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Luke Cage? Doctor Who, once the new series drops? What about getting into some comics? (Captain Marvel is fairly begging for a KAL, I think.)
ReplyDeleteSupernatural!!!
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black!
ReplyDeleteFear the Walking Dead- a sea-related colorway, seaweedy strands that look raggedy.
Alice in Wonderland could be crazy fun with colors!
Tarzan: the Legend - jungle- inspired, and plenty of photos of Alexander Saarsgard!!
NOT shows that are already done like Penny D or Killing
I enjoyed the KALs that were brand based (Malabrigo, Koigu) and hope to see some more of those.
ReplyDeleteAs for MKALs, Call the Midwife and Victoria would interest me.
Would love something for Grimm
ReplyDeleteBlack Sails!
ReplyDeleteYes!!! Omg that would be amazing.
DeleteAnother vote for Black Sails!
DeleteI would love to see something green, leafy and "Portlandy" from GRIMM.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural or The Black Dagger Brotherhood would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural or The Black Dagger Brotherhood would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteGreat book series! I'd be in for that
DeleteOnce Upon a Time :)
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time
ReplyDeleteCall the Midwife!
ReplyDeleteMary Queen of Scots, she has such lovely clothes. Cloaks, capes, shawls, gloves, etc
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who would be awesome!!! Also:
ReplyDelete12 Monkeys
Lucifer
Grace & Frankie
Star Trek
Suits
Houdini & Doyle
Call the Midwife
Preacher
Orphan Black
Wayward Pines
Grimm
Black Sails
The Magicians
Stitchers
I'll add my vote(s) for Supernatural, NCIS, Star Trek, and or Dr. Who :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a supernatural one, bit surprised it hasn't happened already actually simply based on the popularity of the show.
ReplyDeleteNCIS or Blue Bloods!!!
ReplyDeleteGrace and Frankie suggest very different colors!
ReplyDeleteDaredevil / Punisher, please!
ReplyDeleteThe Royals on E! resume in November, 2016 in the US. How about that? Believe there will be one episode a week for ten weeks, so nice timeframe for many, rather than a binge.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Black Sails, The Royals, Mr. Selfridge.
ReplyDeletedragonriders of pern or honor harrington.

Stranger things
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I'm for sure in the minority, but I would love a KAL for Monday Night Football, Big Bang Theory or Criminal Minds.
ReplyDeleteHow about The Librarians?
ReplyDeleteHow about The Librarians?
ReplyDeleteHow about 'inspired by The magnificent Alan Rickman'?
ReplyDeleteOh, "Yes!" to Mara's suggestion of Miss fisher's Mysteries. also I'd add 'Doc Martin' - what a great collection of handwork has come across in that series. Another suggestion would be 'Endeavor' (this is a series made in the last few years that is the prequel to 'Morse' on Masterpiece on PBS.) which is set in the early 60's and has had quite a few terrific handworked garments.
