Malabrigo Trunk Show Treasures

We recently received a Trunk Show from Malabrigo featuring items knit in hand-dyed Rios, Sock, Arroyo, Rasta, Mechita and newer lines, Caracol and Dos Tierras, and couldn't wait to play dress-up! Jessica, Nadia, Alex and Jenny took the items to our local park for an off-site photoshoot in the hopes of providing you with a little bit of Malabrigo knitspiration! These items are currently on display in our retail shop for the next couple months so be sure to stop on by and get knit-spired by these beautiful pieces!

Give a Little, Get a Lot!

Our most recent Year of Giving kit has arrived, and it's a beauty! This month, we've partnered with the Design Team at Vogue Knitting and Lorna's Laces to bring you the Violeta Vivida Shawl Kit, benefiting the UNIDOS Disaster Relief and Recovery Program. Each kit comes with two skeins of Lorna's Laces Sportmate, dyed in the exclusive-to-the-kit color, Violeta Vivida, along with the pattern for the scalloped, triangular shawl designed by the Design Team at Vogue Knitting! Aptly named, Violeta Vivida translates to Vivid Violet - the purple hues of the colorway have us dreaming of blooming hibiscus, the national flower of Puerto Rico!

$5 of every kit sold will be donated to UNIDOS Disaster Relief and Recovery Program. The Design Team at Vogue Knitting felt particularly moved by UNIDOS' mission, and selected them as their charitable recipient, due to the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.

"The goal of the UNIDOS Disaster Relief and Recovery Program is to serve the immediate and long-term needs of families and communities in Puerto Rico. To do so, the Hispanic Federation has taken unprecedented action, helping to coordinate hundreds of donation drives in the U.S. mainland and distributing millions of pounds of food, water and essentials to those most affected by the storm. So much of this work has been made possible because people from across our nation and the world have stood shoulder to shoulder with us."

Join us in supporting this wonderful cause, while also getting a little something special for yourself - yarn!
