The bags are here, the bags are here!!! This has been one of the hardest secrets to keep but at last I can let it out!! Phew...I am just not the best secret keeper out there!












Our first set of NEW and improved shipping bags are here and we used them yesterday and what a thrill!!





We are all a buzz around here and I just couldn't wait to share it with you, so here are some pictures to wet your appetite.



You can cut this pattern out and it is waterproof, rust proof and can be put in a binder! How cool is that?



Laura was very hard to contain as she ran around and stuffed the bags full of your orders!!

It was awesome to see her so excited!!


She has worked really hard on this project and the final product is AMAZING!!



I can't wait to knit my "Honey Do" socks out of the Lorna's Laces Limited Edition colorway for October...tease, tease!!


The 1st is only 2 days away so hang in there!! Hee hee! I know I am a stinker...oh yeah don't forget your rewards will be available too!!

The 1st of April is not only when our Limited Edition color will be available (I happen to know this one is near and dear to Amber's heart), but our 5% Quarterly Rewards will be posted too! It is always exciting when the rewards are up and running, as you have all earned them and I LOVE to help you spend them.

The limited edition color for April really is a neat one and I will be buying mine ASAP! I think
I will get it the sock weight this time, so I can make socks (imagine :). Victoria has also done stitch markers that go right along with this color, so be sure to check those out too! They are called 'Everything Except the Kitchen Sink' and that is a HUGE hint as to the name of our upcoming color. The little tiny snip is just a VERY SMALL taste and I can't say more or I know I will give it all away, hee hee hee!! Our colors are top secret stuff, but I know you are going to love this one for sure!

It is trying to be spring here in Reno and I have been working on doing some spring cleaning of my knitting projects, so this weekend was a finish up weekend. I also worked on turning my compost pile, but I don't think you want to hear about compost, ha ha!

It's supposed to snow on Wednesday down here on the valley floor, so I am thinking of one more spring knitting push and I am going to finish up my Knitting Pure and Simple Summer Cardigan #294.
Imagine finishing projects what's up with that??

I also finished my Never Not Knitting Cosette Wrap out of Malabrigo Worsted yarn and it is sooooooooooo nice!! The pattern is super easy and was a breeze to work up.

I also dove in and finished off my Hydrangea socks, wow is this a trend? Nah it's just a fluke I am sure, so I won't panic, ha ha! I don't want to tarnish my reputation as a multiple project knitter, but I am sure it's just a temporary glitch in my otherwise well known starting and not finishing style of knitting, phew that was close! :)

This year has been amazing and thank you for your part in helping to make it so! I have had a wonderful year personally and Jimmy's has grown so much that we are in awe of it all. We (Laura and Doug) added a new little bean, Huck to the JBW team this year, Amber is now our E-commerce manager (well deserved too!) and we have more Bean's around the shop than ever before! WOW is all I can say to all this excitement. It is going to be interesting to see where we go from here and I am so glad that I am part of the team.

I had a GREAT visit yesterday from one of my customers, Susan, who brought in show-n-tell which is a fabulous use of our beautiful Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted yarn, thanks Susan! She took a class on how to use the Ashford Knitter's Loom last year and her husband used the class and her enthusiasm to get her the loom last Christmas. Well, Susan has been a very successful weaver and her use of color has earned her a prize in her local fair, way to go! Aren't these beautiful?

The scarf on the far left is in Black Purl, then Bittersweet, Gold Hill and Fresh. I am learning to weave and am truly inspired by these beautiful scarves out of one of my all time favorite yarns ever!!

So here's to the best year yet and looking toward tomorrow for love, laughter, learning and just plain fun!
