On the Eleventh Day of Yarn-mas, Jimmy got for me, Eleven Pipers Piping from solstice yarn!!!!

This solstice yarn Luna Sock may be the Pied Piper of Pipers Piping, because I would follow this yarn anywhere!!!


Rachel and I had the opportunity to meet the owner (and family) of the Dublin Bay Knitting Co. and solstice yarn at Vogue Knitting Live Seattle 2014, and we fell in love with their super soft and luxurious fibers- as well as their welcoming and kind spirit!!!

"solstice yarn was founded in 2007 by Dublin Bay Knitting Company Owner, Tricia Maynard. Longing for more subtle colorways in hand dyed yarns, Tricia set out to create her own, and solstice was born. Since its official debut December 21, 2009, solstice has grown to ten yarns with two more in development for 2014/15.

The colorway I created for Yarn-mas is a mix of deep blues and greys because "11 Pipers Piping" reminded me of the Scottish Highlands and the muted tones of the Scottish sky during winter that are reflected in the tartans of that region."
solstice yarn was born out of a want and need for subtly colored hand-dyes, and they achieve this time and time again in all of their luxurious bases!!!

On the Eighth Day of Yarn-mas, Jimmy got for me, Eight Maids-a-Milking from Unwind Yarn Company!!!!

The softness of this yarn and simply beautiful colors of Unwind Yarn Company's Journey Sock Yarn-mas color, Eight Maids-a-Milking are begging to be knit, crocheted, woven, or maybe to be that perfect mantle piece to oogle all season!!! 

Dana of Unwind Yarn Company is a busy gal!!! 

 Not only does she have a hand-dyed yarn company, she blogs, has a Ravelry group, and runs a fiber arts podcast with her best friend (in her spare time, wink wink)!!!
Our very own Rachel Roden of Unraveled Designs met Dana through her Ravelry Podcast group, and after seeing the amazing hand-dyed yarns, she just knew we had to have her yarn!!!

On the first day of Yarn-mas, Jimmy got for me, some Loft from Brooklyn Tweed!!!

 We are beyond thrilled to be able to offer a very limited appearance by Brooklyn Tweed for the first day of our 12 days of Yarn-mas extravaganza!!!!!

 We have been long time fans of Jared Flood and Brooklyn Tweed, with their mission to create quality knitwear, designs, and materials!!!

 Just plain gorgeous!!!

We are excited to present Loft- 100% American Wool grown in Wyoming and spun in New England. This fingering weight yarn is light and airy, and a super small amount of this beautiful yarn has come to visit!!! Make sure to grab your skein right away!!!
