Have you voted yet?

I know it's not November, but have you voted yet?? It's looking like a close heat with Peppermint Mocha in the lead and Trick or Treat running a very close second.

We are adding 2 more permanent colors from our Limited Edition Lorna's Laces colors and as you may have heard Twilight (left) was the first to join the lineup.

Now I know I should be posting the 3rd Traveling Sweater, but alas so much has been going on that I just haven't had time to get that moving for you and I hope you will forgive me. So stay tuned, same knitting channel for more on the sweaters...

As for the voting, well vote (to the right) please we want to know what you think!! Have a great weekend and as always, happy knitting and crocheting! Jeanne

  1. I hate to complain - but is this voting an honest representation of the majority? It seemed like that in the beginning - then you see a gazillion votes out of nowhere for "certain colors". Would be interesting to see the voting with a lock on the votes to one per person. If these numbers are accurate - fine - but it would be a shame for some of us not to see our favs win because of a few controlling the votes by just clicking away at what they want. Would like to see a real vote. Thanks

  3. I was hoping Rainforest would have more votes - I didn't know about Jimmy Beans back when it was available. It's SO pretty too. That and Golden Holidays

  4. I also wish it could be changed to ensure one vote per person. It seems like certain colors jump by hundreds of votes every couple of hours, which if true would make the outcome skewed, biased to a few and unfair to most.

  5. Sigh.

We didn't expect that people would vote more than once for a single color! Unfortunately - and as you've noticed - the survey gadget we're using does allow people to vote more than once.

I had initially tried to use a gadget that would prevent people from voting more than once, but the gadget kept giving us errors!

Does anyone have suggestions for how we can make this more fair? I can look around for another survey tool that will prevent multiple votes, but that means we'd have to ask everyone to vote again. If that's ok, i'm happy to do that!

Obviously, we want an honest vote!

  6. I wouldn't mind voting again. What if you just re-set the counter you have now and just make it clear that THIS TIME one vote only and it will be on the old fashioned HONOR SYSTEM? FPS you have enough to do without finding another counter. I think it's very nice and generous of you and Lorna's Laces to offer any of these as a regular yarn choice in the first place!
