  1. This yarn far surpassed any expectations I had going into the Tosh DK blanket CAL/KAL. The colors and the feel of the yarn is out of this world!

  2. I'd like to see something planetary, like colors based on each planet.

  3. Maybe something based on birthday gemstones?

  4. I agree with the gemstone idea. The blanket this year is gorgeous (and eclectic) and the yarn is amazing. I liked it so much ordered 2 sets! I think we all (I'll speak for myself) like a project that spans the year...you look forward to the new month, but can fill in the rest of the time with your shorter projects. It feels like a commitment that is worth making!

  5. I too like the gemstone idea. I didn't go with the Toshstrology blanket and instead went with another pattern that I have used before. My mom and I love the vibrancy of the colors.

  8. I would love another year long project, I enjoy having a blanket to show for all my work at the end of the year. Even if JBW doesn't do another year long project I want to make myself do a Sophie's Universe blanket next year.

  11. I did not opt for the blanket, but loved that there were other patterns offered that also used the monthly yarn. I loved that the colors were more tonal-I am getting bored with so much variegation in all yarns. Hope there is a deeper yellow or gold to come in this years grouping. also liked the deeper colors.

  14. Love your company and the colors are great, but as a Christian I do not like the Astrology theme! Ignorance is not bliss.

    1. I don't care a whit for astrology. For me it was just having a new color for each month, and that there was some thought to them going together harmoniously in the blanket. I really like the bright happy colors they have come up with!

    2. You can say you don't like the theme without insulting all who did just because our belief systems may or may not align. Unnecessary.

  16. Sadly for me, the colors in the astrological tones really had no relations ship to the signs. I bought some, but just because I like the colors.

  19. I liked the individual patterns that went with the Toshstrology yarns (the hats, cowls etc.) and how you could pre-order the pattern set and receive a new pattern download each month to go with the new yarn for that month.

  21. I like that they were limited edition, gorgeous, deep colors with the surprise of something new each month! I think the gemstone idea is fun and I would like to see some colors that work as a gradient!!

  22. Was totally unaware of your Toshstrology yarns.

  23. I honestly liked last year's Tasty Tosh theme better -- there was a running theme, but the colors were always a surprise. I initially planned to buy the Toshtrology colors to make things for each family member in their sign, but found two of the colors very close to regular Tosh colors I already have and the third was just very pale and disappointing. I also found that grouping the signs into color families didn't inspire me: if you don't really like green, for example, there's 3 colors you won't buy. I would prefer smaller projects that used each color separately -- for example, a year of socks. That way, if you really hate one of the colors, you're not stuck using it. TL;DR - I love having a theme, but please mix it up more so the color choices aren't so rigid! Someone above suggested planets -- that would be fabulous!

  24. Loved the colors and looked forward to getting a new one each month. I would be good with one project a month or the year long project -

  25. I loved each color and each month couldn't wait to see the new one. Also liked the idea of doing one color a month so I could work on other projects too..

  27. The tonal colors are spot-on for me. (I like to choose my color combos) And the astrological connections fun and whimsical.

  28. I am a Cancer and I absolutely *love* the Cancer colorway. I love the idea of a full year project but truth told, I'm paused after Aquarius because I want site that I loved the colors together in the Rombre (Rainbre?) order. The Libra/Gemini similarity was a bummer so I'll probably either trade my skein for a different Tosh or sub in Garlic and Onions. I'm waiting to see Scorpio before deciding.
I love the community on the Toshstrology Ravelry thread--one of the many things I love about Jimmy's is the community you create through the Ravelry forums with MXALs and discussions.

  30. I loved the idea and looked forward to seeing Scorpio's color. In spite of being a water sign, I thought everyone knew Scorpio colors are reds - deep reds. Love them. Give the water colors to Pisces! Disappointed - didn't order.
