The holiday season is upon us, ladies and gentlemen! I don't know about you but it feels like this year has FLOWN by, and my brain still hasn't made the transition to "holiday mode" just yet.
The holidays can be the furthest thing from relaxing, with people frantically rushing around like maniacs to complete their gift shopping, crowded and loud holiday parties, entertaining and hosting family members, and the nightmares of holiday travel. Sometimes the best way to escape the craziness of the holidays is to do what us knitters and crocheters do best: to sit back, relax, and craft!
Us fiber enthusiasts love the process of creating something with our own two hands. It allows us to connect on a deeper level to our craft, and brings so much gratification. My favorite way to get into the holiday spirit while steering clear of the madness has been to create my own holiday decorations. It gives me much-needed time to escape, get creative, turn on the holiday tunes with a good cup of coffee, and reflect on my favorite holiday memories as a kid with my family and friends.
Here's a list of my 10 favorite knitted and crocheted decor projects for this holiday season. I've made some yarn recommendations for each project, but many of these projects can be worked up with yarn from your stash. I encourage you to take a step back from the holiday frenzy whenever you get a chance and immerse yourself in your craft. It will help you feel so much more connected to holidays, and you'll have some adorable, personalized decorations to cherish for the years to come!
